Comedian John Taiwo Ojiebun popularly known as Bigjohny Da Talkative delivered a phenomenal performance at his ‘Father’s Day Comedy Special, tagged ‘Son of Jonathan.’

Held at the Heritage Mall, Dugbe, Ibadan, Oyo State, the sold-out event was a hilarious exploration of family dynamics, cultural identity, and fatherhood. It was also a testament to Bigjohny’s star power and comedic genius.

From hilarious moments at Nigerian burials to emphasizing the importance of men taking care of themselves, Bigjohny, throughout his one-hour set took the audience on a hilarious journey, sharing stories about his late dad, Elder Jonathan Ojiebun, who passed away in 2023. He highlighted men’s crucial role in society and offered insightful tips on how women can better understand men, leaving the audience in stitches.

One of the standout aspects of the show was MC Bigjohny’s ability to bring the Lagos standard of comedy special to Ibadan. The quality of the jokes was amazing, a clear indication that he had done his homework, crafting jokes that resonated with the audience and left them in awe.

Since his debut in 2015, Bigjohny’s creative achievements have been impressive. He started producing his own show in 2016, and has been nominated for awards including Blingz Events Award 2022, one of the biggest in South West Nigeria, as ‘Comedian of the Year’ and ‘MC of the Year’ but won the latter.

His impressive creative achievements also include compering over more than 300 weddings; just his international exposure is also notable as he shared the stage alongside renowned comedians like Destalker, AY, Kenny Blaq, and Akpororo among other.
