The Saint Work Bond International Network (WIN) and United Actions for Democracy (UAD) have called for the release of Ramzy Abu Ibrahim and other Palestinian community leaders detained in Nigeria.
This plea was contained in a petition sent to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a protest in Abuja, jointly signed by Omotaje Olawale and Kunle Ajayi Wizeman, for WIN and UAD respectively.
The petition titled, ‘Israel vs Palestine Unceasing Feud – a Challenge to Renew our Humanity – Release Abducted Palestinian Leader, Abu Ibrahim and Others Now,’ also urged President Bola Tinubu to respect the rights of Palestinians in Nigeria and ensure they are not subjected to harassment, humiliation or political repression.
The petition read in part: “We, unequivocally condemn the Palestine/Israeli hostilities as carefully designed ‘Imperial, Neo Colonial Colony, Proxy Imbroglio.’ The recent arrest of leaders of the Palestinian community in Nigeria has sparked outrage and deep concern.
