Bayern submits loan bid for Lookman

Bayern Munich has formally submitted a loan bid for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman as the summer transfer window approaches its final hours, The Athletic reported on Sunday.

The move comes as the German club seeks to reinforce its attacking options amid ongoing squad adjustments.

The club had previously pursued other forwards, including Nick Woltemade, who ultimately completed a transfer to Newcastle United, and Nicolas Jackson, whose move was blocked after the Senegalese player completed his medical in Germany. Bayern’s interest in Lookman follows these developments and aims to provide additional depth in the attacking lineup, particularly to support striker Harry Kane.

Lookman, currently with Atalanta, has expressed a desire to leave the Italian side. According to the report, Bayern’s offer includes a loan arrangement with a significant fee and an option to purchase at the conclusion of the loan period.

The proposed move could mark a return to the Bundesliga for the former RB Leipzig winger.
