Bago dissolves Niger cabinet as Alia reconstitutes in Benue

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has dissolved his cabinet. He announced the dissolution during the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting at Government House, Minna, yesterday.

Bago had appreciated the officials for their services towards the development of the state and wished them the best in their future endeavours.

In a statement yesterday in Minna by his spokesman, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor retained the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and other principal officers.

HOWEVER, his Benue counterpart, Hyacinth Alia, reconstituted the state’s cabinet dissolved in July. Swearing in the commissioners at the Old Banquet Hall of Government House, yesterday, the governor charged them to be good ambassadors of his administration. Alia advised them not to distance themselves from the people.

“Your people must feel you. Make it your duty to reach out,” he charged.
