Omolayole management lecture holds in Lagos

The yearly Omolayole Management Lecture (OML) is scheduled to take place on September 25 in Lagos.

The organisers said this year’s edition would be unique, as it would present, for the first time, a guest speaker from outside Nigeria.

The international guest speaker, Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor, an acclaimed Kenyan author and novelist, was educated in three sequentially situated universities in Kenya, the United Kingdom (UK) and Australia.

The event’s theme, “Plotlines of Prosperity: Africa’s Story, Africa’s Rights and Africa’s Returns,” focuses on intellectual properties for Africans within Africa and by Africans.

The aim is to advance further the urgent need for countries on the continent to leverage the newly established African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) – a historic agreement established by African Union (AU) member states – to create a unified single market for goods, services, and investment across the continent.
