Port Harcourt hospitality operator Great Ejekwu is strengthening his presence in the city’s entertainment and lifestyle sector following the renewal of his brand ambassador agreement with Hennessy, distributed in Nigeria by Global Fine Wines.
Ejekwu, who manages Friends Beach House, BlackBox, and Subway Africana, has played a visible role in shaping Port Harcourt’s nightlife and leisure spaces. Friends Beach House was the first to introduce a bowling alley in the Government Reserved Area (GRA), setting the tone for new recreational offerings in the city. His latest project, The Warehouse Food and Bar, is under development and expected to expand options for dining and entertainment in the region.
Collectively, Ejekwu’s hospitality ventures provide employment for more than 300 people. In a statement released alongside the partnership renewal, he said, “I’m grateful to continue this journey with Hennessy & Global Fine Wines. I’m committed to representing the brand with excellence.”
Beyond his commercial ventures, Ejekwu also leads the Respect Her Haven Foundation (RHHF), a non-profit focused on providing support to women and survivors of gender-based violence. The foundation has been positioned as an extension of his business activities, bringing a social dimension to his role in the community.
Industry observers note that ambassador roles such as Ejekwu’s serve both as marketing strategies for global spirit companies and as recognition of individuals shaping consumer culture in local markets.
