Warri Wolves plot remo stars’ fall in Abeokuta

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will witness an explosive encounter this Sunday, as Warri Wolves visit Remo Stars at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.

After a morale-boosting 2-0 victory over Enugu Rangers in their first home game of the season, Warri Wolves FC says they are looking to carry the momentum into the clash with Remo Stars, who are also in fine form.

Before beating Rangers, the newly promoted Wolves Wolves secured a 1-0 win away against Katsina United two weeks ago. On their part, Remo Stars drew their first home game of the season against Rivers United and secured victory against Kun Khalifat FC of Kano in their last away match.

To perfect their operation against Remo Stars in Abeokuta, The Seasiders, led by coach Napoleon Aluma, returned to their familiar turf at the NPA training pitch in Warri shortly after the game against Rangers FC. The team had been training at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, venue of the 9th National Youth Games, which ended on Saturday.

Coach Aluma and his technical crew members focused on the players’ fitness, ball work and team cohesion for the big battle against Remo Stars in Abeokuta.

General Magager of Warri Wolves FC, Neville Ambakederemo, told The Guardian on Friday that the players were in good shape for the cracker.

“We are already in Abeokuta, and the players are in good shape. They are well motivated for this clash, and I am hopeful we will get a favourable result here on Sunday against Remo Stars.

“Abeokuta is a familiar to us, and Warri Wolves have many supporters here from the days of NPA till today. We are hopeful of something positive,” Ambakederemo stated.
