WIMBIZ unveils theme for 24th annual conference

The Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) has announced the theme for its 24th Annual Conference, set to take place on November 6-7, 2025.

The conference, tagged “O.W.N – Own. Walk. Nurture,” will be held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, and is expected to bring together over 2,000 women leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, policymakers, and visionaries from across Africa and the globe.

According to Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, Executive Director of WIMBIZ, the theme reflects the organisation’s commitment to inspiring women to lead boldly and create lasting impact across sectors.

She said: “At WIMBIZ, we believe that women have the power to shape economies, societies, and futures. This year’s theme, O.W.N., is a clarion call for women to embrace their power, walk their path with courage, and nurture others along the way. It’s time for women to take ownership of their journeys, walk with purpose and authenticity, and nurture the next generation of leaders. The theme captures the essence of leadership, resilience, and community core values that continue to define the WIMBIZ movement,” she said.

“Over the two-day event, attendees can expect thought-provoking keynote speeches, engaging panel sessions, networking opportunities, and inspiring conversations that will empower women to lead with confidence and authenticity.

As one of Africa’s largest gatherings of women in leadership, business, and public service, the WIMBIZ Annual Conference has consistently sparked critical conversations and inspired change across generations. Registration for the conference is currently open and can be done on the WIMBIZ website.
