Festive periods are usually associated with increase in vehicular movement, heavy traffic congestion and acts of lawlessness by motorists. Because of this, the Federal Road Safety Corps is embarking on a special patrol to ensure safety of lives and properties in order to guard against these and ensure a crash free Easter celebration.

The operations will focus on the following, excessive speeding, dangerous driving and overtaking, road obstructions, use of phone while driving, seatbelt violation, child safety and passenger manifest.

The Zonal Commanding Officer FRSC Zone 2 Lagos, Assistant Corps Marshal Shehu A Zaki has urged all road users to avoid all traffic violations and offences especially those mentioned above as those apprehended will face prosecution with penalties stipulated by the FRSC (Establishment Act, 2007). He further enjoined the general public to join hands with them in order to achieve their aim during this period.
