
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Sam Onwuemeodo, and made available to The Guardian yesterday, Okorocha said the period calls for exceptional love to one another.
He charged Christians, especially those in the state, to celebrate the Easter period in a special way and show exceptional love to one another on the ground that Jesus rose from the dead, saying if Jesus had remained in the grave, Christians would not have had any claim to make today.’’
The governor advised merry makers to be mindful of what the death of Christ signified and shun selfishness, as demonstrated by Jesus, by virtue of his death on the cross for the redemption of mankind.
