Zamfara FRSC launches special patrol on mix-loading truck violators

FRSC

The Zamfara State Sector of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has started a special patrol to apprehend violators of the mixed loading of goods and human beings, as well as haulage trucks that violate traffic laws through overloading.

The Sector said that it started the special patrol due to failures to fix speed-limiting devices and the carrying of animals along with humans.

In a statement issued by the command’s Public Education Officer, SRO Aliyu Isah, it was added that the Sector Command observed the reckless nature of haulage trucks passing through Zamfara State, most often with overloading or mixed loading and at high speed. He also said that other traffic violators would not be spared.

“The Sector Commander, CC Aliyu Ma’aji, called on the public to cooperate with his men in order to ensure a safer road environment in Zamfara State.”

The Sector Commander also emphasised that motorists who move without proper registration or who cover their number plates would also be apprehended.
