Mr. Hilarion Chidi Ihezuoh, a Nigerian Fellow Chartered Accountant and internationally certified auditor, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Global Pinnacle Mark Award for Excellence in Sustainability Accounting, the Global Pinnacle Alliance (GPA) announced on Wednesday.

The award recognises professionals whose work demonstrates leadership, innovation, and measurable impact in global financial governance and sustainability.

Mr. Ihezuoh, who holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from École Supérieure de Management, also possesses multiple international certifications, including CISA, CRISC (ISACA, 2025), ISO 27001:2022 Lead Auditor, CPFA, and CFE. Over a career spanning more than sixteen years, he has contributed to financial oversight, enterprise risk management, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance across multiple sectors.

In a statement, the GPA said, “The Global Pinnacle Mark Award is reserved for luminaries whose vision anticipates the future, discipline ensures execution, and wisdom inspires peers and emerging leaders. Mr Ihezuoh exemplifies this rare distinction.”

Mr. Ihezuoh’s career includes notable positions in both banking and private enterprise. At Keystone Bank, he applied forensic and governance expertise to prevent large-scale fraud and preserve institutional trust. During his tenure at 4MBA Accounting & Tax Services, he enhanced compliance frameworks to align clients with international best practices. He also reinforced financial accountability at Los Angeles F.C., introducing data-driven controls that strengthened operational transparency.

Reflecting on the award, Mr Ihezuoh said, “I am honoured to receive this recognition. Sustainability in accounting is not merely a technical exercise; it is about embedding accountability, transparency, and resilience into the very fabric of financial systems. With this accolade, Mr. Ihezuoh joins an international cohort of award laureates, positioning him as a leading voice in sustainability accounting and a source of inspiration for professionals and emerging leaders worldwide.
