The Dinovate Creative Academy has graduated 40 young Nigerians from its second training cohort, marking another milestone in its mission to equip emerging creatives with the skills to tell impactful stories and drive social transformation through media.
An initiative of Dinovate Solutions, the Academy ran an intensive eight-week hybrid programme focused on AI content creation, cinematography, photography, video editing, and graphic design. The initiative aimed to combine creative expression with advocacy, enabling participants to use their craft as a tool for social impact.
More than 30 interactive sessions were held at the Dinovate Creative Hub in Abuja, complemented by seven masterclasses led by leading professionals in the creative industry, including Dr. Genevieve Bosah, Martin Samuel, Temilade Salami, Adedoyin Jayesimi, Oluwatofunmi Adebayo, KTG Creations, and David Dawali. These sessions covered topics ranging from branding and storytelling across cultures to building purpose-driven creative careers.
Participants described the experience as “transformative” and “the spark needed to find my creative voice.” The Academy also recorded significant online engagement, reaching over 500 weekly interactions during the training period.
The programme concluded with the premiere of Frames of Becoming, a student-produced short film that explores creativity and purpose. The film is expected to be released on streaming platforms later this year.
Speaking at the closing event, Temidayo Ibitoye, Founder of Dinovate Solutions, said the Academy’s goal is to bridge the gap between passion and professional skill in the creative industry. “We are building a generation of storytellers who use media to influence change and amplify voices that matter,” he said.
Ibitoye added that top-performing students would receive internship placements to further refine their skills. He also noted that Dinovate continues to collaborate with creative agencies and non-governmental organisations to deploy its graduates in media production, communication, and storytelling roles that support social impact initiatives.
