Leading communications agency, RED | For Africa, commemorating two decades of redefining storytelling and driving cultural change across the continent is set to hold the second edition of The RED Summit.
Themed “From Founders to Future,” and set for November 6, in Lagos, the exclusive, invite-only gathering will bring together Africa’s foremost media leaders, founders, CEOs, and executives for conversations on legacy, leadership, and the future of media. The event will be hosted by media personality Babajide Guerrero.
Over the past 20 years, RED | For Africa has built some of the continent’s most influential media platforms and campaigns, including YNaija, which amplified youth voices; StateCraft Inc., which shaped national and governance narratives; and The Future Project, which celebrates innovation and youth excellence through The Future Awards Africa (TFAA).
The 2025 edition of The RED Summit will open with a fireside conversation between the company’s co-founders, Chude Jideonwo and Adebola Williams, reflecting on RED’s journey from a personality-driven venture to a purpose-led institution driving social impact.
A key highlight of the summit is “The Succession Council”, a keynote series that will feature industry icons, including Biodun Shobanjo, who will share insights on leadership, governance, and institutional legacy. Other sessions will include the Second Generation CEO Panel, featuring Olushola Olaleye, Ayodeji Razaq, and Debbie Larry-Izamoje, discussing scaling and sustaining growth; the RED Alumni Panel, “Built by RED,” hosted by communications expert Brukeme Dickson; and the Contemporary Media Mavericks Panel with Tosin Ajibade, Folagade Banks, Temisan Emmanuel, and Olufemi Oguntamu, examining how creators are reshaping influence in the evolving media ecosystem.
Speaking on the forthcoming event, CEO, RED | For Africa, Ayodeji Razaq, said the summit represents more than an anniversary celebration.
“As RED turns 20, we are reminded that our story has always been about more than media; it has been about building something that lasts. This summit is our way of honouring not just where we started, but those who paved the way, shaped the culture, and showed us what is possible. We stand on the strength of those who believed before the world did, and as we look to the future, we do so with gratitude, purpose, and a renewed commitment to building institutions that will outlive us,” he said.
The summit will also set the stage for the 19th edition of The Future Awards Africa (TFAA), the continent’s foremost recognition platform for young innovators and changemakers.
Together, both events will celebrate RED’s enduring contribution to the African narrative while spotlighting the next generation of storytellers and leaders shaping the continent’s future.
