NACCIMA, China to strengthen industrial, technological relations

As part of its ongoing trade and investment mission to China, the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and its business delegation recently embarked on a series of strategic industrial visits across Guangzhou.

NACCIMA President, Dr Jani Ibrahim, noted the visits would foster partnerships, technology exchange and investment collaboration between Nigerian and Chinese businesses.

As part of efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation, Ibrahim and his team visited Yiyou International Auto Parts Commodities Trading Center, Nexwise and Guangzhou Heli Pharmaceutical Co.

At the Yiyou (International) Auto Parts Commodities Trading Centre, the delegation interacted with leading manufacturers and distributors in the automotive sector.

Discussions centred on potential collaboration in vehicle components supply, distribution logistics and the establishment of assembly partnerships to support Nigeria’s growing automotive industry.

The team also visited Nexwise, an innovative company providing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for diverse industries, including security, transportation and smart manufacturing.

The delegation was introduced to Nexwise’s advanced technologies in AI-driven automation and surveillance systems, with conversations focused on adapting similar solutions for Nigerian industries and SMEs to enhance productivity and digital transformation.

They also toured Guangzhou Heli Pharmaceutical Co., exploring opportunities in pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug distribution and healthcare investment, especially in the context of Nigeria’s drive towards local drug production and improved access to medical technology.

Also paying visits to furniture, hardware and building markets in Guangzhou, the president said, the goal was to bring the technologies back to Nigeria to deepen the expertise.

Speaking, Ibrahim commended the management teams of the host companies for their warm reception and willingness to collaborate while stressing the association’s commitment to facilitating business-to-business (B2B) linkages.
