RxBook, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital formulary and prescription compliance platform for healthcare professionals, has been unveiled.
EHA Pharma announced the strategic partnership with Pharmaplus Nigeria and eHealth Africa to transform access to pharmaceutical information and strengthen pharmacy service delivery nationwide at the 98th yearly national conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN DABO 2025).
The three organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to design, build, and scale RxBook, with the expectation to serve as a smart, continuously updated version of Nigeria’s Essential Medicines List (EML) and Standard Treatment Guidelines (STG), replacing paper-based systems with a mobile, web, and WhatsApp-integrated solution.
The tool will enable healthcare providers to make faster, evidence-based decisions at the point of care.
“RxBook represents a major step toward bridging information gaps in Nigeria’s healthcare system,” said Paul M. Hogan, Chief Operating Officer, EHA Clinics.
“This collaboration merges the technological expertise of eHealth Africa, the regulatory insight of Pharmaplus, and the distribution strength of EHA Pharma to empower pharmacists and clinicians with real-time access to accurate, standardized treatment information.”
Under the MoU, he said Pharmaplus will lead regulatory engagement and professional onboarding.
He said eHealth Africa will oversee platform design, AI integration, and infrastructure development, while EHA Pharma will manage nationwide logistics and order fulfillment for prescriptions generated through the RxBook system.
He said RxBook will also incorporate smart substitution tools and real-time inventory visibility, improving supply-chain efficiency and ensuring prescribers have access to reliable, up-to-date medication data.
“With RxBook, we are not just digitizing drug information services and treatment guidelines — we are building a sustainable, connected ecosystem that makes access to quality medicines smarter, faster, and more transparent.” said Ahmed Yakasai, Chief Executive Officer, Pharmaplus Nigeria Ltd.
RxBook made its national debut at the PSN DABO 2025 Conference, receiving positive feedback from fellows, members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), and the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN). Full-scale deployment and adoption are expected to continue through 2026, reaching thousands of pharmacists and healthcare providers nationwide.
He said the partnership underscores the shared commitment of Pharmaplus, eHealth Africa, and EHA Pharma to harness technology for the public good, thereby strengthening Nigeria’s pharmaceutical systems and improving access to safe and efficient healthcare nationwide.
