A 20-year-old student, Suleiman Rahama Onono, who was earlier declared missing by her family, has been found dead in a bush at Eika-Adagu community along the Okene–Lokoja highway.
The victim’s body was discovered yesterday after search efforts by relatives, supported by local security operatives.
Family members said they were horrified to find that her breasts and genitals had been removed. They confirmed that Onono was a student of the Federal College of Education, Okene.
She was reported missing on Saturday, January 24, 2026, after leaving home and failing to make contact with her family. Since then, relatives, friends and members of her college community had been searching for her, raising concerns over her sudden disappearance.
Police evacuated the body from the scene and deposited it at the Okengwe General Hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation.
Meanwhile, residents of Camp 2, where the body was found, expressed fear over rising insecurity and renewed calls for urgent security measures, including the installation of streetlights to deter crimes carried out under the cover of darkness.
Locals said the area had recently become notorious for criminal activities.
“This follows a pattern of recent violent incidents in the area, including the killings of two okada riders whose motorcycles were stolen,” a source said.
