• Aiyedatiwa appoints 32 new permanent secretaries, other key officers
ONDO State Government has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the deployment of military personnel to communities affected by terrorist and banditry attacks.
The state, while emphasising that acts of violence must not be allowed under any guise to undermine national cohesion, stressed that the safety of communities is paramount.
In a statement by its Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, Ondo State government commiserated with its Kwara counterpart over the attack in the Woro community, which led to loss of lives and disruption of peace.
It, however, sympathised with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and the people of the state over the incident.
IN another development, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has appointed 32 senior civil servants as permanent secretaries in the state civil service.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, in a statement, yesterday, Aiyedatiwa also confirmed the appointment of Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General for the state and Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape as Auditor-General for Local Councils, which is subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Tayo Ogundare, Morayo Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Oluwakemi Akinyemi and Bamidele Daisi.
Others include Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Oluseyi Odusola, Funke Adelayi, Dr Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr Abike Ilawole, Abimbola Tofowomo and Kolawole Kayode.
The rest are Dr Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Toyin Awotoye and Ayodeji Ayeku.
