Jesus Christ, the demonstration of God’s love

LOVE is an intense feeling of deep affection towards someone, something, or event. It is also a great interest and pleasure in something. People, who have interest in soccer or other sporting events could be described as lovers of those events.

A father may have great interest in a son or daughter. When love exists, the person who nurses that feeling cares, protects and cherishes that he or she has tender feelings for. Children gladden the heart of their parents, hence every father or mother cares and protects his or her child.

They are at ease and ready to spend everything within their reach to ensure the children are properly taken care of. They give everything they have to give them proper upbringing. In that case, love is demonstrated by giving, caring and protecting the loved one.

God, the creator of man loved His creature, hence He placed him in the beautiful Garden called Eden, where everything was provided for the upkeep of man and his potential descendants. Unfortunately, the kingdom God’s plan was lost to the devil. The devil introduced evil practices that characterised the world today.

Man whom God created and loved was suffering in the hands of the devil; even as at today man is still under the harsh treatment of the devil. God, therefore, decided to rescue man from the bondage of the devil, so, He gave His son Jesus Christ. God’s son, Jesus Christ, came to deliver man from the yoke of sin devil has subjected him to and bring him back to the creator.

This is expressed in the lead scripture where God through His son, Jesus Christ, demonstrated the love He has for mankind. Our Lord, Jesus Christ, came to pay the ransom for the sins of the world. He came for the sinners and to rescue them from the bondage of the devil and present them back to God their creator.

The Bible, therefore, expressed it clearly in Luke 19:9-10, which says: “And Jesus said unto him, this day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham. 10: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

When the kingdom was lost, man, whom God has created and placed in the Garden of Eden began to lead the earth government, surrendered the leadership to the devil.

The dispensation of innocence, righteousness based on the obedience to God’s word was murdered at the altar of sin. Man became so much engrossed into sin that disobedience to God’s word, murder, stealing and all kinds of atrocities became the order of the day, to the extent that God regretted the creation of man.

However, God does not want man created in His own image and likeness, to perish forever. This led to the decision of sending His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to come for the recovery and restoration of the lost kingdom; and to bring man back to God.

God used our Lord, Jesus Christ, to demonstrate love to the world. Christ has come to seek and save the lost souls of the present earth. He will lead the earth government when all things are restored.
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, kick started the campaign in the street of Galilee as recorded in Matthew 4:17 declaring thus: “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, ‘repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”

In preparation for the establishment of the kingdom, there must be a proper platform for the kingdom to thrive in accordance with the will of God. People of the earth must change their mindset by removing the satanic influences upon them and allowing God’s will to reign in their hearts.

This will only be possible when men are taught the word of God, so, they could know the plan and purpose of God for their lives. Hence, Apostle Paul has it thus in a letter to his spiritual son in 1Timothy 2:3-6, saying: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour. 4: Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 6: Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” Our Lord Jesus Christ, who has come and announced the reclaiming of the lost kingdom, has trained the church as an outpost for the indoctrination of the people in preparation for the restoration of the kingdom.

God is interested in the life of everyone living on earth. He wants them to come to His knowledge and repent of their sins. Men are to learn from God by giving out what they have to help others come to the knowledge of God. In his teaching of practical Christian living, one of the apostles, James, the brother of our Lord Jesus Christ notedit in James 2:14-16 in this manner: “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? 15: If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food. 16: And one of you say unto them, depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17: Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” If you want to help someone in need you have to give him something to satisfy his need at that point in time. This is exactly what God did by sending His son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the world. We, as human beings must take God’s example and minister to the people in need. It could be hunger as a result of physical food or lack based on inability to have access to the word of God.

Christians must attend to both physical and spiritual needs of the people of the world. We must preach the gospel in season and out of season to the lost and where the situation demands, attend to their physical needs.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, fed the congregation of 5,000 people with bread and fish when he knew they were hungry and could not go out to buy food for themselves. God has shown us the example by giving his son Jesus Christ to save man from the bondage of sin and come back to his creator. The son, Jesus Christ, came and ministered to the people in both the word and physical food.

We should follow suit and attend to the people around us, according to their needs and God will surely recognise our works and bless us accordingly. In that case, we will finally be crowned and be with Jesus Christ for the eternal life in Jesus’ name.
