A Kani Ben, cameraman with Channels TV, has died after spending 10 days in a coma following a road crash involving Bauchi journalists.
The accident occurred on February 6 while 13 journalists were covering a project inspection by the North East Development Commission (NEDC).

Kani Ben, seated in the front passenger seat, sustained severe spinal cord injuries and underwent surgery at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), where he initially responded to treatment. He was pronounced dead in the early hours of Sunday.

Colleagues and family members have mourned his passing, remembering him as a dedicated journalist whose life was tragically cut short in the line of duty.
