African Democratic Congress (ADC)

Party leaders in African Democratic Congress(ADC) in Ogun State has waded into the ongoing crisis between the State Chairman, Otunba Femi Soluade and a leader of the party Hon. Jimi Lawal.

Recalled that the party’s chairman had suspended Lawal, a former aide to ex-Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, over anti-party activities and an attempt to hijack the party’s structure to maintain dominance.

Soluade said that the suspension of Lawal was aimed to restore stability within the party’s structure and ensured continuity of operations before the forthcoming state congress, whose date is yet to be announced.

In a twist of an event, the party through its Publicity Secretary, Hon. Olamide Onabajo also declared the suspension of the party chairman alleging him of leading armed men to disrupt Lawal’s gubernatorial declaration describing the act as” unruly conduct”.
