Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Amy Flourish is preparing to release a new single titled “WOMAN,” a track she describes as a celebration of strength, resilience and the enduring influence of women in society.

The single is scheduled for release on February 22 and is currently available for pre-save ahead of its debut on major digital streaming platforms. Distributed globally through DistroKid, the track marks another step in the artist’s evolving musical journey.

Born Amarachi Florence Ndisi, Amy Flourish has built a dual career as both performer and business leader. She serves as Chief Executive Officer of Hugsmor Entertainment Limited, positioning herself at the intersection of creativity and enterprise within Nigeria’s competitive entertainment industry.

In “WOMAN,” she leans into what she calls a “New-Wave Afrobeat” sound. The production blends rhythmic Afrobeat foundations with layered saxophone textures, giving the track a rich, melodic presence. Produced by Gwheen, the single balances contemporary influences with traditional Afro-centric tonal elements.

According to the singer, the song was conceived as an affirmation piece. Rather than focusing solely on romance during the Valentine’s season, she chose to spotlight the everyday contributions and struggles of women across different spaces. The lyrics reflect themes of dignity, endurance and aspiration, framed within a danceable rhythm.

“This is a special dedication to the girl child and every woman making something beautiful out of life,” she said in a statement ahead of the release.

Amy Flourish also acknowledged the broader landscape of female leadership and representation, referencing notable Nigerian and African women in public life while emphasising that the song’s message extends beyond high-profile figures. The core intention, she noted, is to recognise women navigating daily responsibilities and challenges with quiet strength.

Although centred on celebrating women, the track is not presented as exclusionary. The singer has described it as a unifying anthem, inviting listeners of all genders to engage with its message and rhythm.

Amy Flourish’s artistic path began early. As a former child performer with the Nigerian Television Authority, she has spent years developing her craft. That early exposure to stage and studio environments has shaped her approach to storytelling and performance. Her recent work reflects greater vocal control and thematic clarity.

In recent months, anticipation for “WOMAN” has grown across her social media platforms, particularly on Instagram (@Iam_amyflourish) and X (@amyflourishoaf), with fans highlighting snippets of the saxophone-led instrumentation and lyrical hooks shared in previews.

As Nigeria’s music scene continues to diversify within the Afrobeat umbrella, artists are increasingly exploring hybrid expressions that balance commercial appeal with cultural affirmation. With “WOMAN,” Amy Flourish positions herself within that evolving space.

Whether the track becomes a seasonal favourite or develops longer-term resonance will ultimately depend on audience reception. For now, its forthcoming release signals another chapter in the singer’s steady attempt to merge empowerment themes with accessible, rhythm-driven sound.
