Ramadan 30-day feeding initiative targets 3,000 Muslims daily in Lagos

Noella Foundation

The Noella Foundation, in partnership with FoodClique Support Initiative, has commenced its yearly Ramadan feeding programme, providing 3,000 meals daily across various local government areas in Lagos State throughout the 30-day fasting period.

Now in its sixth consecutive year, the initiative continues to support families and individuals observing the holy month of Ramadan.

What began during the COVID 19 pandemic as an emergency response to rising food insecurity, has since evolved into a sustained seasonal outreach programme rooted in dignity, compassion and structured community support.

FoodClique Support Initiative, a registered Non-Governmental Organisation dedicated to ending hunger, plays a central role in coordinating the daily distribution.

Speaking at the commencement of this year’s outreach, the Co-Founder of the Noella Foundation, Layal Tinubu, described the initiative as “a reflection of shared responsibility and the power of sustained partnership.”

“What started during one of the most challenging periods in recent history has grown into a tradition of service. Ramadan is a season of sacrifice, reflection and generosity. Through our continued partnership with FoodClique, we are able to extend meaningful support to thousands of families across Lagos,” Tinubu stated.

Tinubu said the daily meal distribution spans multiple local government areas to ensure equitable access and effective coverage. Volunteers and partner teams oversee the process to maintain transparency, efficiency and accountability.

Since its launch, the Ramadan feeding initiative has impacted millions of beneficiaries, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to addressing hunger through practical, scalable and sustainable interventions.

Through its Hunger Eradication pillar, the Noella Foundation remains dedicated to advancing sustainable social development by supporting underserved communities and fostering collaborative solutions.

Tinubu explained that the initiative is more than a feeding programme, saying, “It is a reminder that collective goodwill can turn moments of reflection into opportunities for lasting change.”

Tinubu added that the foundation continues to advance its mission across its core pillars of Education, Employability, Healthcare and Hunger Eradication, ensuring that impact remains both immediate and enduring.
