A NON- GOVERNMENTAL Organisation FoodClique in partnership with Noella Foundation has distributed food boxes containing non-perishable items and hot meal to over 1300 low-income families who fasted during the month of Ramadan at Awoyokun Onipanu and Ebute Metta environs in Lagos State.

Speaking during the yearly Eid Feast organised by FoodClique in commemoration of this year’s end of Ramadan program tagged ‘Eid Feast in Lagos’, the founder FoodClique, Mr.Bolajoko Fadipe, said the groups provided daily meals and food boxes to various communities during the holy month of Ramadan to help cushion the effect of the corona pandemic.

He added that many families still need help even after the fasting period, so it is important that organisations like Food Clique and Noella come out to put smile on the faces of people that do not know where their next meal is coming from.

According to him, FoodClique and Noella Foundation partnered to provided daily meals at Awoyokun Onipanu and Ebute Metta for people struggling with hunger to break their Ramadan fast.

Fadipe also used the opportunity to thank hundreds of Nigerians who donated money, food items, volunteered all through the month of Ramadan to help with distribution of food boxes and preparing the daily meals which is another proof that Nigerians are very kind and generous people who are willing to assist in reducing food insecurity.

He maintained that though Ramadan has come to an end, hunger lasts beyond Ramadan, so FoodClique will be unrelenting with helping the less privileged through their other programs such as Free School Meal, Family Meal, Senior meals programs and Mobile Food Pantry.

The founder Noella Foundation, Mr. Seyi Tinubu said: “it is our yearly tradition to provide meals to fasting Muslims every day of Ramadan, volunteer to help out at the venue and this intervention has been very helpful to the less privileged. “
