MFM Ajah holds capacity-building retreat for pastors, members

MFM Ogba Holds Two-Day Mega Crusade This Weekend

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Ajah Mega Axis, recently organized a capacity-building retreat and impartation service themed “Excellence in Ministry” to empower pastors, ministers, workers, and members, helping them unlock their full potential and strengthen church growth initiatives.

The retreat featured intensive prayers, vibrant worship, and impactful teachings, aimed at enhancing ministerial effectiveness, improving departmental coordination, and promoting sustainable church development. Sessions included leadership training for House Fellowships, evangelism and church growth strategies, and guidance on nurturing children and teenagers into purposeful, solution-oriented individuals.

Facilitators from MFM International Headquarters led the training, focusing on volunteer development, operational efficiency, and standardization of procedures across the Axis.

“This training is designed to enhance spiritual growth, leadership skills, and operational efficiency of ministers and workers alike,” said Pastor Irabor Enojiasun, Mega Regional Overseer, Ajah Mega Axis. He commended the leadership of Dr. Daniel Olukoya and his wife, Dr. Folashade Elizabeth Olukoya, for their commitment to developing every member spiritually and physically through seminars and training programs.

The retreat aimed to:

  • Strengthen workers’ spiritual capacity and leadership effectiveness
Reinforce evangelism as the Church’s core mandate
  • Enhance accountability and stewardship across departments
  • Improve operational efficiency and ministry coordination
  • Promote unity and sustainable church growth
  • Facilitators addressed both spiritual and operational strategies, emphasizing membership growth and retention, outreach effectiveness, and cultivation of godly leadership.

“The retreat is premised on reviving individuals and the Church, repositioning it for greater relevance,” explained Pastor Gideon Sonde, on behalf of the Overseers, alongside Pastor Ben Oginni, Pastor Olufunmilayo Ojo, and Daddy Ambrose Ogboru.

Highlighting evangelism and church growth, Pastor Bola Aruna reminded participants that soul-winning is every believer’s primary assignment, citing Luke 19:10. He urged intensified evangelical outreach individually and corporately.

Youth development was also emphasized. Pastor Tobi Popoola highlighted the Youth Church’s role in addressing spiritual, physical, psychological, marital, and financial needs of young people, nurturing God-fearing, purposeful leaders.

On nurturing children and teenagers, Pastor (Mrs.) Oludaunsi Grace and Pastor Mrs. Esther Akila taught discipleship, mentoring, and spiritual development, encouraging young members to discover their God-given purpose and become agents of transformation.

Participants were encouraged to actively engage in House Fellowships, described by Pastor Abayomi Gabriel as essential for sustainable church growth. Members were urged to make their homes available for fellowship meetings, likened to hosting the Ark of the Covenant, and to understand that aspiring pastors must serve as House Fellowship leaders.

Ushers were also empowered during the retreat. Pastor (Mrs.) Bisi Adesanya highlighted their role as first points of contact and ambassadors of Christ, emphasizing love, hospitality, and security.

The retreat culminated in a Fire Baptism and Impartation Service, led by Pastor Emmanuel Oladimeji, marked by intercession, spiritual renewal, and impartation of grace for effective ministry.

Participants described the retreat as transformative, fostering spiritual growth, empowerment, and renewed commitment to kingdom advancement, equipping them to become agents of change in their families, communities, and society at large.
