‘Wetin Women Really Want 2’: Abuja property firm joins comedian Washington to celebrate women

Ahead of the International Women’s Day, a leading property company in Abuja, D-Ben Real Estate, has announced plans to collaborate with popular Abuja-based comedian Washington for this year’s edition of his annual Evolution of Washington Comedy Show.

The partnership is aimed at delivering an entertaining and socially reflective event that celebrates women for their vital contributions to family stability and societal harmony.

Organisers said the show, which has grown steadily in popularity, is designed to recognise women as champions of peace both on the home front and within the wider community.

Speaking on the development, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of D-Ben Real Estate, Edeh Amobi, said the company has over the years observed how Washington consistently uses his platform to celebrate women and amplify their potential.

He noted that the partnership presents a meaningful opportunity for the firm to align with and actively support an initiative that promotes recognition, inclusion and social impact.

Amobi explained that beyond entertainment, the Evolution of Washington show carries a deeper message about valuing the role of women as pillars of families and drivers of peace within communities.

According to him, D-Ben Real Estate believes that empowering and appreciating women contributes significantly to sustainable social development, which aligns with the company’s broader corporate values.

Titled “Wetin Women Really Want 2”, Washington described this year’s edition as a major step forward from the inaugural show.

He added that the show, scheduled for March 8, coincides with the International Women’s Day, stressing that it will also incorporate elements that engage the audience in meaningful discussions, spotlighting stories of women who have made remarkable strides in different sectors.

This, he said, reflects his ongoing commitment to using comedy as a platform to celebrate, educate, and motivate, ensuring that laughter is paired with social awareness and appreciation.

Expected to perform at the second edition are veteran musicians, including Mr. P of the defunct PSquare, comedy icons, notable MC`s and electrifying dancers. It will be spearheaded by Washington, a member of 26 Pals Development Initiative.

Washington whose real name is Ernest Anyanwu, said more women artistes have been selected to thrill audiences at the comedy show, highlighting how important they are in pushing the frontiers of entertainment landscape.
