Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian

In a major show of commitment to his constituents, Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian, Minority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and representative of Ovia North East I Constituency, has donated a 500kVA transformer to Igue-Iheya Community and commissioned a fully furnished six-classroom secondary school in Okhunmwun Community, both in Oluku Ward.

The initiatives have sparked widespread celebrations among residents, who praised the legislator for his dedication to community development.

The transformer is expected to address the electricity needs of Igue-Iheya, improving power supply for households and local businesses. Speaking at the event, Hon. Aiguobarueghian said the donation reflects his belief that the people are the reason for his service in the Edo State House of Assembly.

He assured constituents of more impactful projects aimed at improving living standards and advancing community development.

The newly commissioned Okhunmwun Secondary School marks a landmark project in Oluku Ward, showcasing the legislator’s commitment to quality education. Since taking office, Hon. Aiguobarueghian has built and commissioned eight schools in Ovia North East I, transforming learning infrastructure and expanding educational opportunities across the constituency.

This latest gesture follows previous interventions by the lawmaker, including the donation of 50 three-seater chairs to Eresoyen Primary School and the sponsorship of 182 students for the 2025/2026 WAEC examinations, further reinforcing his focus on education and youth empowerment.

Residents and community leaders hailed the projects as a demonstration of Aiguobarueghian’s people-centric approach, emphasizing that such initiatives have a lasting impact on both education and community well-being.
