Sani Buhari joins Real Valladolid

Real Valladolid have reached an agreement with Nigerian winger Sani Buhari to join the reserve team. The attacker arrived on a free transfer after his contract with FC Pyunik expired and has signed with the club until June 30, 2027.

Born January 10, 2004, Buhari began his career in Nigeria and, in the 2022/23 season, moved to Europe to play for FC Van in the Armenian First Division, where he made 50 appearances (across league and cup competitions), scoring seven goals and providing 2 assists over two seasons.

In the 2024/25 season, he signed for FC Pyunik, also in the Armenian First Division, and scored his first goal in the Conference League qualifiers. He also scored three more goals and provided two assists that year.

He recently left Pyunik and has joined Anexos to bolster Javi Baraja’s team’s attack. The 22-year-old Nigerian can play on either wing and also as a centre forward.
