President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Peter Mbah on the occasion of his birthday today (Tuesday), commending the Enugu State governor for what he described as remarkable strides in governance over the past two years.
In a statement, President Tinubu celebrated the lawyer, entrepreneur and philanthropist, highlighting the progress recorded in Enugu State under Mbah’s leadership since he assumed office in 2023.
The President particularly praised the governor’s commitment to progressive governance and constitutional democracy, noting that his administration’s ambitious projects and reform programmes have helped position the state on a path of transformation.
Before venturing into politics, Mbah built a successful career in the oil and gas sector as a private-sector player.
Reflecting on his experience during an official visit to the state in 2025, the President said he had personally observed the impact of the governor’s leadership.
“During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people,” Tinubu said.
He also commended the governor’s collaborative approach to regional development, noting that Mbah’s inclusive style of governance and partnership with other Southeast governors is helping to reposition the region for economic and political transformation.
President Tinubu, in the statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, wished the Enugu governor good health and renewed strength as he continues his work in advancing development in the state.
