Firms plan national art exhibition to celebrate Tinubu @ 74

Tinubu

To celebrate President Bola Tinubu’s 74th birthday, Artifact Galleries, in partnership with Red Carpet Protocols, is to hold a national art exhibition.

The programme is aimed at celebrating leadership while promoting the role of art in nation-building.

The convener and founder of Artifact Galleries, Toyin Jinadu, described the event as a cultural initiative.

According to the organisers, the exhibition would feature the unveiling of hyper-realism portrait paintings of prominent Nigerians, state governors and international figures who have made significant contributions to leadership, governance, and development in the country.

Among those whose portraits would be showcased are the President, his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, state governors, members of the National Assembly, traditional rulers, and leading figures in business and innovation.

Beyond the exhibition, the organisers said the event would also spotlight plans for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Centre for Arts & Vocations (BATCAV), a proposed institution to train Nigerian youths in visual arts, photography, videography, graphic design, printing, and other creative skills.

The centre, they noted, is envisioned as a national hub for talent development and cultural preservation, with the potential to boost youth empowerment and position Nigeria’s creative industry as a key driver of economic growth.

The organisers added that the exhibition is designed to serve as a visual archive celebrating leadership and influence, while promoting the country’s growing creative sector.

The national art exhibition titled “A Nation in Portraits” will be held tomorrow in Abuja.
