Motorists and businesses in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, may experience relief from persistent fuel access constraints following the commissioning of a new petrol station by Pivot Energy.
The facility, located at 101 Marina Road, comes amid growing economic activity across the state, which has continued to exert pressure on existing fueling infrastructure and intensified demand for more reliable supply channels.
The company noted that the expansion reflects a broader trend of private-sector-led interventions aimed at addressing distribution inefficiencies that, at different times, have contributed to product scarcity and long queues in parts of the country.
At the official launch, company representatives underscored the strategic importance of the new station in improving accessibility and service delivery.
Representing the Chief Executive Officer were the Director of Sales, Gabriel Igbokwe; Group Head of Retail, Aje Omagbemi, and Human Resources Manager, Jacinta Aziekwu.
The event also drew the presence of key stakeholders across the government and industry, highlighting the significance of the development to the local economy.
For residents and transport operators, the addition of a new fueling point is expected to ease the burden often associated with supply disruptions, particularly during periods of scarcity when queues at stations can disrupt mobility and economic activities.
