ATHCON conference to explore strategies for sector alignment with global practices

Towards repositioning Nigeria as a leading destination for tourism and hospitality in Africa through collective effort, the President of the Association of Tourism and Hospitality Consultants of Nigeria (ATHCON), Olatunde Oluloye has said that the oncoming 2026 edition of its annual conference will bring together key stakeholders, industry leaders, policymakers, and professionals across Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality ecosystem who will explore strategies for advancing the sector in alignment with global best practices.

The event, which is themed ‘Growth, sustainability, and innovation within the tourism and hospitality industry’ is scheduled for April 23, 2026 at the Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja.

ATHCON president, in a medistatement disclosed that the conference will feature among others keynote addresses, panel discussions, and networking sessions designed to inspire collaboration and drive impactful change.

Oluloye also noted that a major highlight of the event will be the Induction Ceremony, where new members will be formally admitted into ATHCON. This segment underscores the Association’s commitment to expanding its network of professionals dedicated to excellence, ethical standards, and capacity building within the industry.’’

The conference will also serve as a platform to recognise outstanding contributions and celebrate achievements within the industry.
