Olori of Kuta, Queen Jumai, has launched the Amoke Children and Mother in Need Foundation, urging Nigerians and well-meaning individuals to support her initiative aimed at improving the lives of the less privileged.
The launch coincided with her 60th birthday celebration, held at her residence and drew dignitaries from across the country.
Speaking at the event, Queen Jumai pledged to continue using her resources and donations to assist vulnerable children and mothers, emphasising the importance of collective support for the foundation’s work.
Chief host Olowu of Kuta, HRM Oba Dr Adekunle Oyelude Makama, CON, Tegbosun III, commended Queen Jumai’s dedication, highlighting her consistent efforts to uplift the downtrodden even amid the current economic challenges in Nigeria.
Lt Gen TY Buratai (rtd), former Chief of Army Staff and Balogun Agba of Owu Kuta, described her humanitarian work as commendable and a reflection of her generosity and commitment to service.
The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, urged guests to contribute generously to the foundation, emphasising the importance of collective effort in alleviating poverty.
He commended Queen Jumai for creating a platform that addresses societal needs and encouraged sustained support for its initiatives.
The celebrant expressed gratitude to all attendees and pledged to continue using her resources, alongside donations received, to support the less privileged.
She also acknowledged the role of her husband, Olowu of Kuta, HRM Oba Dr Adekunle Oyelude Makama, and other dignitaries present in ensuring the foundation’s success.
