The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to face Poland and Portugal in a series of international friendly matches in June 2026.
According to the schedule released by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday, the Super Eagles will play against Poland on June 3 and Portugal on June 10.
The Nigerian players will head into these games with a bit of momentum, with the Super Eagles having defeated Iran 2‑1 while playing out a 2‑2 draw with Jordan in Antalya, Turkey in the recent international window in March.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s performances in those friendly matches helped the team to retain the 26th spot in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings and third in Africa.
Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle has dropped a hint that the June international window will see an expanded squad, potentially including foreign-born talents and younger prospects.
With this approach, the Franco-Malian born coach has said he aims to strengthen the team’s depth and prepare for future tournaments.
