‘Gateway airport will elevate Ogun to trade hub’

Chair, Sifax Group, Dr Taiwo Afolabi, has lauded the Federal Government and Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for the successful construction and commissioning of the Gateway International Airport.
 
He noted that the airport would stimulate economic growth, attract trade and investment, and strengthen the state’s standing as a leading commercial and industrial centre.
 
Speaking with The Guardian, he expressed optimism that the launch of Gateway Air would improve transport, trade and tourism in the state. He added that it would also facilitate the movement of people and goods, creating employment opportunities. He further noted that other sectors, including hospitality, aviation, agriculture and real estate, stand to benefit, creating opportunities for local and international investors.
  
He stressed that the state’s reputation as a leading industrial destination has been enhanced, while the ease of doing business has improved.
 
He urged residents to support the project by safeguarding its infrastructure and expressed confidence that it will create long-term prosperity, reduce unemployment, and improve the general standard of living.
