In a strategic move aimed at strengthening youth engagement and fostering high-level partnerships in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda, the leadership of the APC Youth Network West Africa(formerly APC Youth Wing West Africa paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Hon. Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, at Watercress Hotel & Suites, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.

The visit marked a significant moment as the organisation formally conferred on Hon. Ayinde the distinguished title of Life Patron, in recognition of his exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to public service, and continued support for youth development initiatives.

Speaking during the presentation, the delegation emphasised that the honour reflects the organisation’s appreciation of Hon. Ayinde’s impactful contributions and his alignment with their vision of empowering young people across West Africa under the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In his response, Hon. Ayinde graciously accepted the honour and expressed heartfelt appreciation to the APC Youth Network West Africa. He assured the delegation of his continued support and commended the organisation for its proactive role in youth mobilisation, leadership development, and regional integration, consistent with the Renewed Hope Agenda. Also present at the occasion was Mr. Lekan Abubakar.

The delegation was led by the Director General of the Network, Hon. Olatunde Gideon Igbasan, alongside key officials, including the Regional Coordinator and Director of Operations & Logistics, Hon. Adewale Bolowotan; HRH Dr. Olaide Mayowa Jose, the Alaaye of Dome-Kwabenya, Accra, Ghana—one of the recognised Yoruba royal fathers in Ghana; the Chief of Staff, Comr. Oludare Igbasan; Director of Welfare, Comr. Salaudeen Shehu Tijani (Man City); Director of Security and Protocol, Comr. Olawale Okunowo, as well as other members of the Network.

The visit further underscores the APC Youth Network West Africa’s commitment to building strategic alliances with key stakeholders, as it continues to advance youth development, leadership capacity, and regional cooperation in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda and its broader vision.
