Unveils new Ojaja canned drinks
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has reinforced his commitment to Nigerian industrialisation with the official unveiling of canned variants for the Ojaja Soft Drinks line.
The launch of Ojaja Cola and Ojaja Orange in cans marks a significant scaling of the brand’s operations.
The brand distinguishes itself through a strictly indigenous supply chain, designed to elevate national confidence in local goods. Currently retailing in flagship locations in Lagos and Akure, the Ojaja line aims to redefine the “Made in Nigeria” label as a gold standard in the global beverage industry.
Launched with a focus on natural ingredients and healthier consumption, the brand is designed to stimulate the Nigerian economy through job creation and indigenous manufacturing.
During the unveiling of the new canned variants, the Ooni emphasised that the products represent more than just a beverage, they are a symbol of national capability.
He said: “This development represents a compelling testament to our collective ability to conceive, develop, and deliver world-class products wholly within our own nation,” the Ooni stated. “This milestone transcends the realm of beverages; it is a powerful declaration of identity and an unequivocal affirmation that Nigeria is capable of producing excellence from inception to final delivery without compromise.”
A key differentiator for the Ojaja brand is its ‘100% local value chain’. From the liquid formulation to the aluminum cans, every component is manufactured within Nigeria. This “intentional approach” is designed to preserve economic value within national borders, showcase the sophistication of Nigerian industrial expertise, and elevate national confidence in locally produced goods.
The Ooni noted that Ojaja Cola and Orange are crafted to exceed international standards, ensuring that “made-in-Nigeria” is viewed as a preferred choice rather than a mere substitute. The initiative aligns with a broader vision of economic sovereignty, where consumption patterns reflect cultural pride and heritage.
