Firm partners Medplus to boost access to smart technology

Technology brand, digifon, has partnered with Medplus Pharmacy to expand access to smart technology and accessories by making its products available across Medplus stores nationwide.

The CEO of WTG IT Solutions Limited, the parent company of digifon, Dapo Okotore, who spoke during the unveiling of the partnership in Lagos, said the collaboration would make genuine and reliable technology products more accessible to Nigerian consumers.

Okotore said the partnership would enable consumers to purchase products such as power banks and earbuds from Medplus outlets while shopping for their health and lifestyle needs.

He said the collaboration was also aimed at addressing challenges consumers face in accessing reliable technology products through fragmented retail markets.

“For a long time, African consumers have had to navigate fragmented and porous markets to find genuine reliable hardware that actually understands their daily environment,” Okotore said.

He said bringing digifon products into Medplus pharmacies would provide consumers with a more convenient channel to access technology accessories.

According to him, the full range of digifon accessories is now available at Medplus branches nationwide.

He added that the products include the Gorilla Mini Vault power bank series, comprising the 20,000mAh Gorilla Mini Vault X, the 22.5W XE and the 65W XE Pro, alongside other audio accessories.

The Business Development Manager Medplus, Adeoye Oyerinde, said the partnership aligned with the company’s expansion from a traditional pharmacy into a broader health, beauty and lifestyle retail business.

“Since we opened our first Medplus store in 1993, our mission has been to pioneer a holistic approach to wellness for Nigerians.”

Oyerinde said the addition of technology accessories to Medplus stores would complement the needs of consumers who increasingly depend on technology products in their daily lives.

The General Manager of WTG IT Solutions Limited, Kemi Adedeji, said the Lagos launch received strong interest from shoppers, adding that the nationwide rollout would give consumers across the country access to digifon products through Medplus’ retail network.
