The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed Nwabunwanne Okonkwo as the pioneer Chief Executive Officer of the newly established Anambra State Development and Investment Corporation, a strategic institution created to drive investment and economic growth in the state.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.

According to the statement, Okonkwo has been tasked with leading the corporation’s mandate, which includes attracting investments, structuring financing, and overseeing the development of major infrastructure and business projects across Anambra State.

The role also involves strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors to accelerate economic development.
Okonkwo is a finance lawyer with over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to his appointment, he served as Managing Director of DLM Advisory, the investment banking arm of DLM Capital Group, where he played a key role in mobilising over $1 billion in financing for governments and corporate organisations across Africa.

The state government described the appointment as part of efforts to position Anambra as a competitive investment destination and deepen its economic transformation agenda under the Soludo administration.
