The Niger Good Governance Forum has endorsed Mohammed Sani Musa for a second term in the National Assembly, citing what it described as effective representation and visible constituency impact.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the group said its decision followed a review of the senator’s performance since assuming office, highlighting his legislative contributions and engagement with communities across Niger East.

According to the forum’s president, Bagudu Musa Bagudu, the lawmaker has demonstrated “capacity, consistency and a deep understanding” of constituent needs.

“His track record in the Senate and his engagement with the grassroots clearly set him apart as a lawmaker deserving of continuity,” the statement said.

The group noted that Musa’s role in lawmaking and oversight has positioned him as an active voice within the Nigerian Senate.

Beyond legislative duties, the forum pointed to what it described as measurable impact from constituency projects and empowerment initiatives.

It cited interventions in areas such as education, youth development and support for small businesses, saying these have contributed to improved livelihoods across communities.

“From educational assistance to infrastructure facilitation, the evidence of his work is visible and widely acknowledged,” the group said.

The forum argued that continuity in representation is essential to sustaining ongoing projects and consolidating gains already recorded.

It urged voters and political stakeholders in Niger East to support Musa’s re-election bid, describing him as a dependable leader with a clear development agenda.

“A second term will provide the opportunity to deepen ongoing initiatives and deliver even greater benefits to the people,” the statement added.

The group also commended the senator’s contributions to national policy discussions, noting that his positions align with broader goals of economic growth and stability.

It reaffirmed its commitment to promoting accountability while supporting leaders it considers capable of advancing good governance.
