… Says platform will connect tutors, students irrespective of location, funds
… Vows to reshape learning ecosystem
A digital education platform has vowed to address the gaps in Nigeria’s learning landscape by deploying artificial intelligence to connect students and families with qualified tutors, mentors, and academic resources tailored to individual needs and budgets.
My Learning, which will launch in June, according to the team, will drive what it described as a comprehensive tutoring and learning support ecosystem spanning subjects from foundational primary education to advanced academic coaching.
The team in a statement emphasised that the platform aims to democratise access to quality education support amid the uneven distribution of traditional classroom resources.
While speaking on the innovation, Akinola Mosobalaje, who is the founder of the platform, stressed that the system’s core innovation lies in its AI-powered recommendation engine, which he emphasised analyses multiple parameters, including learning requirements, subject specialisation, geographic location, and financial constraints.
According to Mosobalaje, the approach will in no small measure ensure that economic limitations do not automatically bar students from accessing quality academic support.
He said, “My Learning is not just a directory; it is a smart ecosystem designed to make education more accessible, flexible, and personalised.
“Our AI-driven matching system ensures that every learner can find the right educator within their budget, while teachers can effectively showcase their skills and reach motivated students.”
With Mosobalaje emphasising that as a structured marketplace, the platform will enable teachers, including those in rural or underserved areas, to expand their professional reach beyond immediate geographic limitations and connect with motivated students seeking their expertise.
“Education experts have characterised My Learning’s impending arrival as timely, noting that it aligns with global shifts toward flexible, technology-driven learning solutions outside conventional classroom settings.
“The platform arrives as Nigerian families increasingly seek supplementary academic support options responsive to both educational outcomes and household financial realities.
“The Nigerian education sector has witnessed growing demand for personalised learning solutions, driven by factors including large class sizes in public schools, varying quality of instruction across institutions, and increasing parental awareness of tailored academic support’s benefits.
“My Learning directly targets this gap, offering a structured alternative to informal tutoring arrangements that often lack quality assurance or transparent pricing.”
