German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, has reportedly filed a complaint with Italian authorities against Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen over an alleged unpaid debt linked to a leased vehicle.
According to reports, the Super Eagles striker failed to complete payments for a luxury SUV acquired in 2023 and has not returned it, leading to a claimed debt of €90,000 (about ₦142 million).
The development comes as a surprise given Osimhen’s elite earning status.
The 27-year-old currently plays for Galatasaray, where he reportedly earns over €20 million annually, making him one of the highest-paid players in the league.
Osimhen rose to global prominence during his time at Napoli, where he led the club to a historic league title and cemented his reputation as one of football’s most lethal strikers.
Despite his wealth and high-profile lifestyle, this unresolved issue has raised eyebrows.
His representatives are yet to issue an official statement, but the matter is expected to be addressed swiftly to avoid reputational damage.
