FCC launches digital portal to combat recruitment fraud

FCC 5th Session

In a bold move to tackle recruitment fraud and increase transparency in public service, the Federal Character Commission (FCC) has unveiled a new digital platform tailored for job seekers across Nigeria.

Launched under the leadership of Hon. Hulayat Mutunayo Omidiran, the portal was inaugurated at the Presidential Villa Banquet Hall in Abuja on Tuesday, 28th April 2026, during the Commission’s fifth session.

A press release about the initiative was disclosed through the Commission’s official X handle @fccnigeria through Ademola Lawrence, the Commission’s spokesperson.

The innovative platform aims to revolutionize the job search experience for qualified Nigerians as users will now be able to easily pinpoint states with active recruitment, access vital accommodation information, and connect directly with verified recruiting agencies.

The initiative is also designed to promote accountability and compliance among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The FCC describes this as a significant leap towards a fairer and more transparent public service.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, officially launched the digital platform on behalf of the President.

Meanwhile, Kashim Shettima, represented by Sadiq Wanka, praised the Commission for harnessing technology to foster national unity and improve institutional effectiveness.

Omidiran reiterated the FCC commitment to ongoing reform, vowing to enhance service delivery and nurture public trust in their mandate.
