Atlantic Rugby 7s kicks off today in Lagos

All Is set for the Atlantic Rugby 7s Championship scheduled to hold today at Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The championship, organised by the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) with support from the Lagos State Government, will feature top male and female rugby players from across the country competing in a fast-paced Rugby 7s tournament.

Speaking ahead of the event, the NRFF General Manager, Azeez Ladipo, expressed optimism about the competition, noting that the tournament is part of the federation’s ongoing efforts to develop rugby in Nigeria. He said fans should expect an exciting display, as all participating teams are fully prepared to make a strong impact.

Ladipo also revealed that the NRFF President, Ademola Are, has urged players to give their best during the championship. According to him, outstanding talents discovered at the tournament could go on to represent Nigeria in future international rugby competitions.

He further commended the sponsors of the Atlantic Rugby 7s Championship for their continued support in promoting the growth of rugby in the country. The tournament is expected to kick off at 10 a.m.
