Alaafin lauds Tinubu on Tegbe’s appointment as power minister

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for appointing Mr. Joseph Tegbe as the Minister of Power.

It would be recalled that Tinubu had announced the appointment of Tegbe following the resignation of Chief Adebayo Adelabu as minister of power.
Tegbe, who hails from Oyo State, is the Director General and Global Liaison for the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership, coordinating bilateral development efforts between Nigeria and China.
In a congratulatory statement by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye, Oba Owoade described Tegbe as a superlative technocrat who combines high-level technical expertise with exceptional managerial competence, driving efficiency and innovation through data-driven decision making.

Oba Owoade stated that the 60-year-old first-class graduate of Civil Engineering from the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University is an asset to the nation.

Alaafin said: ” I am confident that the new Minister will not only use his technical knowledge to solve intricate issues in both public and private sectors.

“He will surely bring new ideas to governance and corporate management, as he is proactive in harnessing technology and science for social advancement”.

 While congratulating the new minister on his well-deserved appointment, Alaafin pointed out that his appointment is a testament to his dedication, integrity, and visionary leadership.

He said: “I am optimistic that as new Minister, you will bring the same excellence to this national assignment as you have demonstrated in your previous roles, helping to build a more prosperous nation. Your emergence as Minister is a significant milestone that brings pride to all who believe in purposeful leadership”, Owoade stated.
