How to become a player in the fragrance sector – Tochukwu

Ochiora Donatus Tochukwu,

A Lagos-based entrepreneur, Ochiora Donatus Tochukwu, has said that continuous pursuit of learning and a deep desire to innovate towards addressing human needs inspired him to invest in the fragrance market.

Speaking with The Guardian, Tochukwu, who is the founder of Dontus Perfume Oil, said rigorous efforts combined with travelling to different countries and learning about their cultures contributed to the success of the brand in Nigeria’s economy.

He disclosed that the raw materials used for the production of the brand – undiluted oil perfumes – are sourced directly from France, adding that the brand’s growing influence for over 10 years within the fragrance market reflects its Unique Selling Points (USP) of eradicating bad smell and promoting good health through quality fragrances that help people feel confident and presentable every day.

According to Tochukwu, the vision behind Dontus Perfume Oil goes beyond fragrance sales.

“Our long-term vision is to establish local production of undiluted oil perfumes in Nigeria while creating employment opportunities for young people across the country,” he said.

Tochukwu explained that as part of its expansion plans, the brand aims to strengthen nationwide awareness about the importance of good hygiene and personal care.
