Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Radda, has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would go ahead to win the presidential election in 2027, and get to complete another term in office as nation’s Number One citizen.
Governor Radda also said the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) would be overwhelmingly victorious in both federal and state polls during next year’s general elections.
The governor was speaking Saturday afternoon at his Radda hometown, Charanchi Local Government Area, during the APC Presidential Primary election, which also held nationwide to affirm the party’s presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 election.
He said the massive tournout and support during previous and Saturday’s primaries, showed that the APC has the numbers advantage to vote in APC candidates vying for various positions in the state and country at large.
Radda, who expressed satisfaction over large turnout of people for the exercise in his hometown, said the massive participation reflected the strength of democracy and the growing confidence of Nigerians in the APC-led administration.
He said, “Today is the final day of the APC primary election where members are endorsing the president as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general election.
“APC is a party that gives equal opportunity and democratic rights to its members to elect their leaders. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not the only aspirant in the race; Stanley Osifo also purchased the nomination form and contested.
“What we have seen today has strengthened our confidence that, by the grace of God, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a second term in office to continue steering the affairs of the nation.”
In a related development, former governor of the state, Barr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, said despite calibre of candidates presented by opposition parties, President Tinubu would still go ahead to defeat them in 2027 election.
Shema, who spoke to reporters at his residence in Dutsinma council area, however called on APC members to ensure they sell the manifesto of the APC in every nook and cranny, so as to boost the chances of the party and its candidates during the coming elections.
