The leadership of the Pantamiyya Movement has said it has not approved any group, association, or entity operating under the name Pantamiyya Movement Brotherhood.

In a statement signed by Professor Suleiman Muhammad, Pantamiyya Movement stated that any claims, activities, or political endorsements made by persons using this name are fraudulent.

“These are the actions of unauthorised individuals, commonly known as 419ers, who have no official affiliation with our Movement,” it said.

“These 419ers approach politicians with no grassroots support and issue endorsements for payment, without our permission, knowing that Malam Pantami is very popular while they are not. These politicians are advised to try and become popular with the grassroots, not just trying to get attached to anything that they see the word “Pantamiyya” or “Pantami” attached to it.”

Pantamiyya Movement warned against any endorsement, political support, solicitation, or representation made in its name by Pantamiyya Movement Brotherhood.

It advised the public to disregard such persons and report them to the appropriate authorities, as they have no letter of accreditation from the Pantamiyya Movement.

It also advised security institutions to investigate them to prevent extortion or crimes committed in the Movement’s name. “These individuals issue endorsements for economic gain and without any principles,” it said.

“For official communications and positions, the public should rely only on statements issued directly by the Pantamiyya Movement through its recognised channels.”
