Abuja is gearing up for what promises to be one of the biggest entertainment events of the year as celebrated comedian and show promoter, Gbadamosi ThankGod Benard, popularly known as Koboko Master, prepares to mark a decade on stage with a star-studded comedy concert tagged “La Décima.”
The highly anticipated event, scheduled to hold on June 21 at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, is already generating excitement among comedy lovers across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and beyond.
Coming on the heels of last year’s record-breaking outing, Koboko Master is aiming to outdo himself with an even bigger spectacle.
The comedian made history in 2025 when he became the first entertainer to completely fill the newly commissioned Transcorp Event Centre, a feat widely regarded as one of the most successful comedy shows ever hosted in Abuja.
The achievement cemented his reputation as one of the leading figures in Nigeria’s comedy industry and raised expectations for future editions of his annual show.
For the 10th anniversary celebration, the comedian has assembled a dream team of comedy stars, bringing together some of the country’s most celebrated performers under one roof.
Among the headline acts confirmed for the event are comedy legends I Go Die and Gordons, alongside Acapella, Edo Pikin, and United States-based comedian Mister Patrick.
Organisers say several other entertainers and surprise guests will also grace the stage, making the event a memorable celebration of Nigerian comedy.
Speaking ahead of the show, members of the organising team described La Décima as more than just another comedy concert, saying it is a celebration of resilience, creativity and a decade-long journey of entertaining audiences across Nigeria.
The anniversary event is expected to attract thousands of guests, including top government officials, corporate leaders, celebrities, and comedy enthusiasts from different parts of the country. Industry observers believe the impressive lineup reflects Koboko Master’s growing influence in the entertainment space and his ability to consistently attract some of the biggest names in comedy.
