Eyamba congratulates Otu on third anniversary

The Convener of the King Eyamba V Royal Family in the Diaspora, a community of descendants of King Eyamba V, the 19th century Obong of Calabar, Prince Francis Eyamba, has congratulated the Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State on the third anniversary of his administration.

Eyamba described the past three years as a season of renewal, recovery and purposeful resetting for Cross River State after years of decline and missed opportunities.

According to him, the visible transformation across the state, particularly in the public transportation sector, is a clear indication that the administration is taking meaningful steps towards restoring public confidence and improving the lives of citizens.

“I was deeply impressed by the transformation I witnessed, especially in the public transportation sector, where the blue buses now move across the capital city, making commuting easier and more accessible for residents,” Eyamba stated.

He further noted that the progress being recorded has begun to rekindle hope among Cross Riverians, both at home and in the diaspora.

“Our hope is being restored, and the least we can do is support the efforts of the government so it can continue to do more for the people,” he added.

Reflecting on the Calabar of the past, Eyamba recalled the city’s former beauty, orderliness and garden-like atmosphere, expressing delight that efforts are currently being made to restore its lost glory.

He urged Governor Otu not to rest on his achievements but to remain focused, consistent and committed to the full transformation of the state.

He also called on citizens to complement the administration’s efforts by being law-abiding, responsible and supportive of policies aimed at rebuilding Cross River State.

Eyamba wished Governor Otu greater wisdom, strength and success as he continues to serve the people of the state.
